Airbnb in the uk

It is no secret that airbnb has seen exponential growth in recent years offering guests cool, quirky experiences for small to large groups all over the world for a fair price.

The United Kingdom, specifically England can be a gold mine if you are operating in the short term rental sector, Between holiday lets and long term corporate or contractor bookings, England really does offer a great foundation for entrepreneurs to get started with a property business of their own.

My own personal experience with Rent-to-Rent in England was predominantly focused on the long term, contractor type bookings. For me the benefits of this particular strategy outweigh those of the short stay strategy. With contractor bookings you can expect guests to stay anywhere from 1 week to 6 months.

With these lengths of stay the turnover is minimal meaning you can practically sit back and watch the money roll in for months without having to worry about void periods taking chunks out of your profits. Another big benefit is that when you accommodate a business there is a high chance they will return to the area at some stage or even send more employees to push a job along.

To get these types of bookings there a few factors to consider: First of all you need to have a property big enough to facilitate a work team, ideally 3 bedroom or above and with multiple bathrooms is always a big help. Secondly being in or around a city centre so the work force have good links to the city. Lastly consider parking and amenities, most contractors will have vans full of tools and they will want to keep them close by, they will also want to have access to restaurants and shops so they can go about their lives without feeling too alienated from the world.

If you are in the uk and want to get started with short term rentals, whether its through buying or Rent-to-Rent I would say the client base is definitely there, it all comes down to how you operate your business and how you market to the guests.
